Panic time in blogville. It is January 5 and I am completely out of ideas. Washed up, a total flop. So, in lieu of thought, creativity or ingenuity, here is a recipe.

Avocado Aioli

  • 2 Tbsp plain greek yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 whole avocado
  • juice from one lemon, preferably a Meyer lemon
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and smashed or roughly chopped
  • 1/3 cup herbs, I like parsley and basil but I use whatever is at hand.
  • large pinch kosher salt

Throw everything in the blender and puree until you have a creamy and delicious pale green mass. I make this to top fish, usually tilapia or halibut. Leftovers make an excellent sandwich spread.
